Battle Sounds is a documentary
about Hip Hop DJs and the innovative art form they have brought to life. Shot
over a period of three years from 1994-97, it focuses primarily on DJs that participate
in competitive battles.
Battle Sounds covers a lot of ground in
a short amount of time. By taking a refreshingly open look at a generation of
artists, this film brings to light a proud tradition of creative techniques and
strong-minded independence.
