Lots of the Dutch hiphop artists began in Rotterdam: Def Rhymz, Postmen, E-life. This
documentary show the hard core hip hop scene starting in the 80's. Archive images of breakers and graffiti
artists are interwoven with interviews.
By the end of the 90's the hiphopscene falls apart, artists as Def Rhymes go
commercial: “with a daughter and son you need money”. The hardcore hiphop artists hate this attitude: “R&B-artists
shaking their ash!, Hip Hop forever!” |
